The Venture Academy™ is AxisBIC’s flagship investor–startup showcase, where some of Ireland’s most promising emerging companies pitch for investment in front of a panel of seasoned entrepreneurs, investors, and business leaders.
Each year, 8 high-growth startups are selected to pitch their business, tell their story, and receive direct feedback from an audience of active investors. As well as pitching at the Venture Academy™ selected companies will participate in a mini accelerator including numerous one-to-one and group sessions, along with pitch preparation, getting real feedback, advice and coaching on their Investor pitch from Seasoned Entrepreneurs & Investors.
Since its launch, the Venture Academy™ has become a recognised platform for connecting investor-ready startups with Ireland’s early-stage investor community.
What Is the Venture Academy™?
The Venture Academy™ is not just a pitch competition — it’s a hands-on investor readiness experience.
In the weeks leading up to the event, selected founders take part in one-to-one mentoring and group workshops with experienced investors, coaches, and AxisBIC advisors. They refine their investor presentations, gain valuable insights into what investors look for, and learn how to communicate traction, market opportunity, and scale potential.
At the event itself, founders pitch live to an audience of angel investors, venture funds, and industry experts, followed by networking and investor-led Q&A sessions.
