How it works

AxisBIC pre-screen the companies on behalf of the Boole syndicate and select the best companies to pitch to the syndicate.

Syndicate meetings are held bi-monthly, where typically, 3 to 4 companies pitch at each session. Pitches are 10 minutes long and followed by 10 minutes of Q&A with the founders.

When the founders leaves the meeting, the syndicate discusses the proposition and each member decides individually of they are interested in a follow up discussion with the company and indicate how much they would likely invest.

A Deal Lead is chosen from the syndicate to liaise with the company on behalf of the syndicate. A follow up session is typically 1 to 2 hours of a deep dive into the various areas of the proposition that the syndicate members would like to understand better. If this follow on discussion goes well, the syndicate will move towards formal Due Diligence with the company.

Investment

If the syndicate decides to invest, the investment is typically by way of a Boole Syndicate Agreement using the Boole Nominee structure, which enables multiple investors to invest as one entity into the investee company. Occasionally, investees will set up other structures for investment which are considered on a case-by-case basis.
